In the summer of 2018, I was fortunate enough to spend the summer in Munich, Germany and work on the UX team at Reflekt GmbH, a company that develops augmented reality applications. Specifically, I designed and developed an administrative portal that allows companies using Reflekt Remote, an AR remote support app, to manage their users, view analytics, and much more.
I used Sketch to create the initial designs and seek feedback, then I created prototypes using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Once finished, I integrated these prototypes and other styles into the portal’s Angular 4 project. Through this, I gained a fundamental knowledge of TypeScript.
In addition to my day-to-day work, I attended UX meetings alongside a diverse and talented team of designers. Each week, we explored aspect of UX design and brainstormed ways to incorporate them into the projects we were working on.
