I created a logo for the programming library Plaquette, which will soon be made into its own IDE. With this in mind, I decided to take inspiration from processing and create a mark that works on its own inside of an app tile.

Plaquette is aimed specifically at making physical computing with Arduino and other boards more user-friendly. This is expressed primarily through the two arrows, “>>”, which is the defining function of Plaquette: being able to push a value to an output simply by typing “input >> output.” The logo also incorporates circuit board iconography as its primary components. Likewise, the typeface used is OCR-A, which is replicated from the standard circuit board font.

Once logo and type were complete, I migrated them from Illustrator to After Effects to create this simple animation.
