Over the summer of 2017, I was as a Marketing & Design Intern at Port Resources, a non-profit in South Portland dedicated to helping those with developmental disabilities. I was given the opportunity to rebrand the company with new marketing materials, create video content, and make some changes to their website.
Business Cards
I designed four alternate backs to the cards; one for each department.
Brochures
I designed four brochures in my time at Port. Here is the General Brochure.

Website
I went to Ibec Creative, a web design company in downtown Portland and the pro-bono creators of the site, to learn about the Drupal 7 CMS. With the knowledge they imparted and some research and troubleshooting done back at Port, I was able to make a few structural and aesthetic changes to the site.
The first thing I did was organize the nav menu items into three relevant sections: Who We Are, What We Do, and Get Involved. I had seen this layout on other non-profit sites and found it to be a logical way to learn about an organization.
Before, the header contained a static image that, for whatever reason, became enlarged by the container to the point where dithering was heavily apparent. I decided to swap this out with the Views Fractionslider – a carousel that allowed for certain elements to be animated with JavaScript. If you visit the site, you can see that the boxes of text fall into the slider as a sort of animated CTA. Each slide links to the relevant page of the site associated with it.
