An old friend of mine is a rising independent hip-hop artist in Southern Maine. He’s changed his moniker over the last couple years, but has given me the honor of designing covers for both of his albums.
For this album, I used Photoshop to remove the face and background of a creative commons photograph of a man smiling in a parka. I altered both the color and texture of the photograph and then cropped the composition. I aimed to create something cold, mysterious, and almost otherworldly.
